Halloween Events in Malta 2026

The biggest nights fall on Friday 30 and Saturday 31 October. Families go to Playmobil FunPark in Hal Far on Friday 30 October. Midnight Madness runs there from 17:00 to 21:00 with games, a kids meal and costumes everywhere. On both evenings the scouts of Xghajra turn Della Grazie Battery into Night at the Fort. This small coastal fort from the 1880s hosts a ghost hunt from 19:00 to 21:00. A scarier walk, The Lost Soul, runs until 23:00.

Adults who prefer history to jump scares can visit the Ta’ Bistra Catacombs in Mosta on Saturday 31 October at 19:00. The evening is called Refrigerium, after the Roman meal that families once shared beside the graves of their dead. Tickets cost 70 euro and places are limited. Children get their own week at Esplora, the science centre in Kalkara. The Villain Academy runs there daily from Saturday 31 October to Wednesday 4 November. Even the airport joins in with The Witches Have Landed, from Friday 30 October to Wednesday 4 November.

Halloween in Gozo 2026

Gozo keeps Halloween free and family friendly. The village of Nadur, famous for its carnival, hosts Halloween in Nadur on Friday 30 October from 17:00 to 21:00. Nadur Square fills with music, pumpkin carving, face painting and a haunted shelter. Saturday 31 October belongs to Xewkija. The Haunting of Blankas turns a public garden there into a trail with live actors and sound effects from 19:00 to 23:00. Ghajnsielem, the village next to the ferry port, opens its Haunted Garden from 16:00 to 22:30 on the same day.

The quietest option comes on Sunday 1 November, All Saints Day. From 18:00, parishes across Gozo light thousands of candles on their church squares.
